Established in 1994, after spinning off from Leybold Ltd, VES has built an unparalleled reputation in helium leak testing, with over 500 machines manufactured and sold worldwide. Their team of seasoned experts leverages decades of experience to design and produce bespoke vacuum leak detection systems tailored to their customers’ needs.

As part of a broader marketing campaign aimed at boosting VES’s brand identity and awareness, we were tasked with creating a promotional video that would position the company as the industry leader for leak testing solutions.

The challenge? Convincing the target audience that Vacuum Engineering Services should be their go-to provider. Customers in this industry already know when they need leak testing, so our job wasn’t to sell them on the need for helium leak testing itself. Instead, we needed to show them why VES stands out from the competition and why they should choose VES for their leak testing requirements.

While the leak testing process is fascinating, it doesn’t always translate well on video, and an in-depth explanation wasn’t necessary. So, what was the core message we wanted to deliver? It was all about highlighting the unique benefits of working with VES—what makes them special, and how customers will benefit from becoming a VES customer.

One of the biggest advantages of working with VES is access to their team’s vast expertise. We realised that the best way to communicate this was through the voices of the people who know the company best: the staff themselves. While we could have featured only the Directors and CEOs, we knew viewers expect those at the top to sing the company’s praises. Instead, we focused on capturing the genuine enthusiasm of VES employees at every level. Their passion for what they do, combined with the meticulous care and attention to detail they bring to every project, provided a powerful and authentic way to showcase the benefits of choosing Vacuum Engineering Services.

The final video delivered a compelling narrative that not only enhanced VES’s brand identity but also solidified their position as a trusted leader in the leak testing industry.
